	YEAR THREE: Architectural Modeling and Culminating Project In the final year of SoBRO TEC, participants will receive exposure to 3-D modeling systems and then work on a culminating project of their choosing.

Semester 1, Visualizing the Third Dimension: Architectural Modeling Technology Hands ON! Materials and Building Strategies for Prototyping : Students will build small models of houses, rooms, and other elements of the built environment by hand, to scale, using paper and other building and modeling materials. Students investigate 3D modeling systems in the context of a ‘build your own dream house’ project. Software programs used will include Google Sketchup and Google Earth.

Semester 2, Final Project Before engaging in a final project, facilitators will lead students through a review of the IT software and systems employed in the project, and revisit concepts that sparked participants’ interests in significant ways. Students will select an area of interest (to participate in the final project, students will be required to have participated in at least one previous workshop) and use multiple IT skills acquired from past sessions to design and develop their culminating project.
