The East Tremont corridor is one of the most highly trafficked
arterials in the City of New York. The potential to attract new, major retail facilities
is likely. As one tool in the marketing of
the district, the redesign of East Tremont's sidewalk areas and
installation of improved lighting (and decorative lighting in
strategic areas) must be undertaken.
We have worked to collect data for a retail analysis of
this district. Through surveying both the local population and the
retail units, we gathered information to
establish the current trend of store types as well as what type of
stores the locals want to have on this street.
